Fiestas in Spain are magnificent and ours is held the first week in September each year and is very colourful and joyful.
There is a lot to see and do with plenty of walking or cycling along the caminos (country lanes) and designated tracks nearby.
We are situated 30 minutes inland from Alicante airport and can arrange airport pick up but if you want to get out and about and visit the various castles, a car is essential. Casa Jarmero is set in open countryside 5 minutes drive from Villena.
If you fancy a round of golf Alenda golf course is approx 25 min drive, or try your hand at scuba diving, horse riding or a quad bike ride up in the mountain most activities are available in the area, and what better at the end of your busy day (or relaxing day) than wine tasting at one of the many Bodegas (wineries).
